Perimenopause & Menopause

Perimenopause and menopause are natural stages of life. The changes they bring can still feel physically and emotionally overwhelming. Hot flushes, disrupted sleep, changing periods and fatigue can affect work, relationships and daily life. In Chinese medicine, menopause is described as a Second Spring. This idea offers a wider view of the transition. Alongside its challenges, it can be a time to reconsider long-held roles, set different boundaries and make more room for yourself.

At Yin Earth Medicine, I offer a safe space to discuss what has been changing for you. My approach draws on Chinese medicine, current research and practical conversations about daily life. We take time to understand your experience and consider an approach suited to your needs. You are welcome whether you are already taking menopausal hormone therapy (HRT), considering it, or have decided it is not right for you.

What can we discuss?

You may come in with questions about:

- Hot flushes and night sweats

- Changes to your periods, including heavy or frequent bleeding

- Sleep difficulties and fatigue

- Anxiety, low mood, irritability or anger

- Brain fog and difficulty concentrating

- Headaches, joint aches or palpitations

- Changes in digestion

- Vaginal or skin dryness and changes in sexual wellbeing

During your consultation, we can discuss your symptoms, any treatment you are already using, and whether acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine or lifestyle advice is appropriate for you.
